CA12
CA12，即碳酸酐酶12，别名CAXII、CA-XII、T18816，是一种由人类基因编码的酶，属于碳酸酐酶（CAs）家族中的一员。CA12在多种生物过程中发挥作用，包括呼吸、钙化、酸碱平衡、骨吸收以及房水、脑脊液、唾液和胃酸的形成。CA12可通过催化二氧化碳的可逆水合作用，调节pH值和维持酸碱平衡。
在生物学意义上，CA12是一种I型膜蛋白，在正常组织如肾脏、结肠和胰腺中高度表达，并在10%的透明细胞肾癌中过表达。CA12的异常表达与多种疾病相关，包括某些类型的癌症和常染色体隐性遗传的低钠血症。
