Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

    Constituent of the membrane attack complex (MAC) that plays a key role in the innate and adaptive immune response by forming pores in the plasma membrane of target cells. C8A inserts into the target membrane, but does not form pores by itself.

    1. C8 alpha and C8 beta have correspondingly similar roles in MAC-mediated lysis of erythrocytes and bacterial killing. C8 gamma is not required for complement-mediated killing of Gram-negative bacteria. PMID: 12413696
    2. Results describe the crystal structure of the human C8 alpha MACPF domain disulfide-linked to C8 gamma (alphaMACPF-gamma) at 2.15 A resolution. PMID: 18440555
