The N-terminal 6xHis tag was fused to the gene fragment corresponding to the 26-614aa of the Arachis hypogaea allergen Ara h 1 protein and then was cloned into an expression vector. The expression vector was transformed into the E.coli for expression. The generated product was purified and separated to obtain the recombinant Arachis hypogaea allergen Ara h 1 protein. Its purity is higher than 90%. This recombinant allergen Ara h 1 protein showed an apparent molecular weight of about 63-90 kDa under SDS-PAGE condition. It may find use in the allergy research.
As a potential molecular of allergies, allergen Ara h 1 often results in a different allergic reactions. Certain researchers found that the diverse range of Allergen Ara h 1 in peanut extracts, which could lead to patients with allergy as the sensitization triggers. More studies pointed that allergen Ara h 1 is primary factor in a variety of allergic symptoms including skin, itchy, digestive, or other allergic problems. In particular, no standard test could provide quantitative measurements of actual allergen exposure, which makes it difficult to standardize the treatment.
