Fish have over a dozen different forms of GnRHs. I would llike to know for which fish GnRH form is this assay designed before placing an order.
This kit is designed against Zebrafish. Pls refer to: http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q5Y835
If the gene mentioned in the data is indeed gnrh2, the assay cannot be specific for zebrafish or any other fish species. All vertebrate animals, including humans, have gnrh2 gene with mostly unknown function. The GnRH of interest in zebrafish is salmon GnRH or gnrh3 gene. I have to think about it. This kit may not be any better for zebrafish than those for mammalian GnRH because gnrh2 gene encodes for exactly the same functional peptide in all vertebrates.
Do you have data which shows this kit is specific to zebrafish? Could you perhaps send the COA?
GnRH has different isoforms:GnRH,GnRH2 and GnRH3. GnRH-2 is very conservative in different species of fish.

CSB-E08810f is designed against zebrafish. We tested undiluted serum and plasma samples before and the test value is 0.5--1.5ng/ml.

Thanks for your response. Based on the literature you provided it seems GnRH2 is not only conserved among fish species but among all vertebrates.
Since I am curious what the difference is between this kit and your kits from other species. Since the antigen is so highly conserved couldn't I use any of your other GnRH kits instead?
Our kit for fish is designed against fish. For different animals, the raw materials used in the kits are different.
